Congratulations to the MRJR team for clinching the title “Miss U 2007.” The team bested six other teams, garnering a final score of 1149.5 (average score of the first two elimination rounds plus final round score).
Bowllebelles came in first runner up, garnering a final score of 1044; Woo Shoo, second runner up, 1007.5; Ate Guys4Men, third runner up, 958.5; and Cancan Girls of France, fourth runner up, 938.5. Other participating teams included Infinity and Milas Rebonded.
Prizes given away to the title-holder and runner ups included TLF SHARE corporate merchandise and accessories donated by supportive individuals. For the winning team, additional prizes given included copies of UP Babaylan’s literary folio “Para Kay Larry” and 50 percent discount cards courtesy of Hilom Spa (donated by proprietor Tony, who is also a member of TLF SHARE’s support community). Frenzy condoms were given away to the players and audience.
Special recognition went to Noel of the Bowllebelles team for garnering the most pinfalls among the players, 515 total of three games.
Special awards were also given to Bowllebelles for “Best in Costume” (team uniform), MRJR for “Miss Photogenic” and “Miss Talent,” and Milas Rebonded for “Miss Congeniality.”
Post-pageant party will be hosted by BED Bar and Club (located at the Orosa-Nakpil Courtyard in Malate, Manila) on Saturday, 22 December – all players, TLF staff and volunteers who helped organize the tournament are entitled to enter BED for free (courtesy of BED’s vice-president for marketing Great).
Miss U Bowling Pageant is TLF SHARE’s community event organized in celebration of the December lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender pride festivities in Manila.
